
Vedanta Spark Partners with MeitY-Nasscom for Technology-based Innovations

Vedanta Spark, the Vedanta Group's global corporate innovation, accelerator, and ventures programme that promotes tech start-ups, announced a collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and NASSCOM's Centre of Excellence (CoE) - IoT & AI, to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies-led innovations.
The Vedanta Spark programme, which has already engaged 80 start-ups for more than 120 projects, aims to accelerate startups that use transformative and sustainable technologies to create large-scale impact in collaboration with Vedanta group companies.
"Vedanta's engagement with NASSCOM CoE will enable innovative startups to demonstrate and develop their product in our unique ecosystem," said Priya Agarwal Hebbar, Chairperson, Hindustan Zinc Limited & Non-Executive Director, Vedanta Limited.
This collaboration will investigate the potential applications of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), and Augmented Reality (AR) / Virtual Reality (VR), among others, across various Vedanta Group verticals. The partnership with Nasscom CoE will also assist the Vedanta Spark team in optimising enterprise-level initiatives and processes.

"Nasscom CoE is actively working to support an innovation ecosystem comprised of start-ups, enterprises, and academia in order to advance the agenda of digitalization and create valuable insights that will benefit the industry and their consumers," said Sanjeev Malhotra, CEO, MeitY-nasscom CoE.
The MoU signing was done at an event at nasscom CoE between the signatories Amitesh Sinha, Head – Vedanta Spark and Sanjeev Malhotra, CEO, MeitY-nasscom CoE along with nasscom CoE team from Bangalore. Both teams committed to implementing an agenda that will address the needs and work on the roadmap for the future technology sectors.
